Online retailer MuscleFood.com has unveiled what is describes as “the biggest, heaviest and meatiest pig in blanket available in the UK” – and it’s gluten-free.
Launched during UK Sausage Week, the product is over a foot long at 35cm – as long as four coke cans – and is available in time for Christmas. It’s made from 1.2kg of gluten free sausage meat wrapped in streaky bacon rashers.
The product weighs around 1.5kg, feeds around 10 people and retails at £17.95.
MuscleFood’s founder Darren Beale said: “One of the items we’re particularly proud of is our Giant Pig in Blanket which is new and exclusive for 2018.
“This bad boy has been developed by our in-house Michelin Star trained development chef using a fantastic blend of fresh sausage meat, herbs and streaky, salty bacon, and is every meat eater’s dream.”
