“We have been promoting our fantastic sausage varieties to customers either purchased loose from the butchery counter or in packs of six which are also on a multi-buy three for ten pounds offer.

“Our sausages feature in our café menus from breakfast to lunch. We also provide free tasters to customers entering Uncle Henry’s so this week we are of course featuring our sausages.

Commenting on the win, Ward said: “It feels absolutely fantastic to win such a prestigious award for our region. It is a vindication of all the hard work of the team her at Uncle Henry’s, from those that care for our pigs, to the butchery that produce the sausages and also the farm shop, kitchen and café who provide them to customers.”

Ward then commented on Monday’s lunch: “It was great to be among like minded individuals who produce high quality sausages for customers across the nation. The food of course was fantastic and it was an impressive venue to enjoy the awards ceremony which was led by Lesley Waters.”

Uncle Henry’s is already looking forward to UK Sausage Week 2020, Graham said: “We previously won the Innovative category award with our Ploughmans Jacks Sausage so it would be a great accomplishment if we could win next year. “We shall continue to support these awards as they highlight the fantastic range of pork produce from UK farmers.”
